In this role, you will establish and satisfy complex system-wide information security requirements based on the analysis of user, policy, regulatory, and resource demands. You will support customers in developing and implementing doctrine and policies while applying security engineering to both government and commercial common user systems, including specialized systems requiring unique security features and procedures.
Responsibilities
+ Ensure that all acquisitions, procurements, and outsourcing efforts address information security requirements consistent with Army and DoD standards.
+ Evaluate and implement security improvement actions as needed.
+ Assess the effectiveness of procurement functions in addressing information security requirements and supply chain risks, recommending improvements as necessary.
+ Identify alternative information security strategies to meet security objectives.
+ Determine IT security program implications of new technologies or technology upgrades.
+ Interpret and recommend security requirements relative to new information technology capabilities.
+ Analyze patterns of noncompliance to assess their impact on risk levels and overall enterprise effectiveness.
+ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of cybersecurity safeguards to ensure they provide the intended protection level.
+ Participate in the Risk Governance process to address security risks, mitigations, and input on other technical risks.
+ Raise awareness of security issues among management and ensure sound security principles are implemented.
+ Contribute to the Risk Management Framework process activities and related documentation, including system life-cycle support plans, concept of operations, operational procedures, and maintenance training materials.
+ Assist in selecting cost-effective security controls to mitigate risk.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in system security, security protocols, and security administration.
+ Ability to gather information from key stakeholders to tailor system security requirements.
+ Capability to set up and manage protocols and policies effectively.
+ Proficiency in monitoring and mitigating processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Must be able to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
+ Compliance with DoD and Army training requirements as outlined in DODD 8570.01, DOD 8570.01-M, and AR25-2 within six months of employment is required.
+ Baseline certification as stipulated in DOD 8570.01-M must be completed upon contract award, requiring Security+ or Governance, Risk and Compliance Certification (GSRC).
+ Experience of 3-5 years in relevant roles is required.
+ Certifications such as CASP+, Security X, or CISSP are advantageous, with CASP+ being notably beneficial for this position.
Work Environment
This position is on-site at the Warren facility at the Detroit Arsenal, where you will be embedded with the government customer alongside internal teammates. This offers a great opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology for the US Army.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57.69 - $86.54/hr.
