Job Description SummaryThe Information Systems Manager is responsible for project operations and programs support including standardization, quality management, document management, methods creation and maintenance, process improvement and tools for the project management function. Responsible for departmental operations planning/execution or is focused on execution of professional activities within a technical discipline. Functions with some autonomy but guided by established policies or review of end results.
The job allows modification of procedures and practices covering work as long as the end results meet standards of acceptability (quality, volume, timeliness etc.).Job DescriptionResponsibilities:Create, communicate, and update the Project Information Management Plan (PIP) that defines particulars and deviations for a project, following business Information Strategy.Raise emergent deviations that develop during a project with the HVDC Engineering Quality team as a process deviation.Create and operate GE Vernova’s Common Data Environment (CDE) encompassing all data needs, manage communication with customers’ CDEAct as focal point for functional support and new business requirements for GE Vernova organization.Coordinate with other Engineering and Operations functions the creation and execution of the BIM Execution Plan (BEP), Master Document Register (MDR), Object Type Library (OTL), Information Model.OTL Implementation Plan and Reference Designation Plan in compliance with the relevant international standards.Arranging Information Management System training and learning needs.Ensure the metrics produced by the project provide an accurate reflection of project information status and exchanges against the established requirements.Act as Single Point of Contact (SPoC) with the customers in all the information management system requires.

Key Requirements:
University diploma in IT or IT management or relevant strong work experience.Desired Master of Engineering, IT, or science related degreeProficient in Information Systems, CAD design/engineering, Document management, and Product Life cycle managementGood understanding of: Product Lifecycle Management (PTC Windchill or equivalent), DMS (Document Management System), Building Information Management (Autodesk BIM360 or equivalent), Cross platform connectors (e.g. Autodesk to PTC).Understanding of good practices instituted by ISO, IEC, VGB or similar.Communications: Strong oral and written communication skills in English. German would be desired.Critical Thinking: Capable of structuring defendable arguments, evidence, assumptions, and decisions.Technical Leadership: understanding of customer needs, problem-solving, creativity, and innovation.Desired Characteristics:
