Position OverviewBy Light is hiring an Information System Security Specialist to join our Joint Regional Security Stacks (JRSS) program team in Fort Meade, MD. This is an exciting key position to a major Department of Defense initiative. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with security policies and establishing and maintaining the highest quality of Information Assurance (IA) while helping government clients meet their mission objectives.
Responsibilities Conducting vulnerability assessments of the assigned security infrastructureProvide mitigation recommendations/ security architecture reviews to Government decision makersResearch/ Development/ Testing/ Implementation and Documentation changes to software Work with networking to close out open vulnerabilitiesEnsure all DISA STIGS are applied to networks, network devices and information systems where applicable Required Experience/Qualifications Active Secret Clearance; Top Secret preferredCurrent 8570 IAT Level II or higher certified (any of the following certifications: CCNA Security, CySA+ , GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP).Experience performing STIGs for either Windows or Linux based platforms.Experience administrating Host Based Security Solutions (HBSS) a plusFirm working knowledge of Security Architectures Preferred Experience/Qualifications DoD Experience a plusExperience with Security Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process Special Requirements/Security Clearance Minimum DOD Secret clearance required; Top Secret preferred Salary RangeBased on the roles, responsibilities, and requirements, the projected pay range for this position is: $90,000 - $120,000.
