Position: Information System Security Officer
Overview: As the Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) for the THAAD Product Support Contract – Small Business, supports the development, implementation, administration and compliance of the cyber security and information security policies and practices associated with the THAAD Missile Defense System (MDS) and THAAD Peculiar Support Equipment (PSE). Responsible for managing risk related to information security, physical security, business continuity planning, crisis management, privacy and compliance. Ensures all personnel within the CLS Teams are trained on enterprise and government security requirements.
Responsibilities:
+ Implement and maintain a Systems Security Engineering and Cybersecurity program and provide prescribed documentation to authorize ILS/CLS systems in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF) as outlined in DoDI 8510.01, and DoDI 8500.01.
+ Monitor and implement applicable Information Assurance Vulnerability Alerts (IAVA), Information Assurance Vulnerability Bulletin (IAVB), Communication Task Orders (CTOs), and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) updates should be implemented as directed by the THAAD ISSM.
+ Develop, maintain and submit an IAVA implementation Plan of Actions and Milestones (POA&M).
+ Develop, maintain, and implement an IAVA Management Plan.
+ Identify, maintain, and perform Information System Security Officer (ISSO) duties as prescribed by the THAAD Information System Security Manager (ISSM) IAW the RMF as outlined in DoDI 8510.01 and DoDI 8500.01.
+ Provide cybersecurity and subject matter expertise support for the Controls Validation Testing (CVT) and associated reviews, analyses, and technical interchange meetings
+ Ensure compliance with DoD 8140.01Cyberspace Workforce, Oct 5, 2020.01 Manual role requirements for all personnel performing RMF functions/support.
+ Oversee contract Information Management control Plan (IMCP).
+ Oversee training and certification of contract personnel.
+ Support ITC Defense Information Technology objectives as required.
+ Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
+ Active Secret security clearance
+ Typically has 6 or more years of relevant experience in information system security
+ Comp TIA Security + certification
+ Comp TIA Linux + certification
+ Comp TIA Advanced Security Practitioner (CASP) certification
+ Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification
+ Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
+ Windows Computing Environment training/certifications
+ RedHat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) Computing Environment training/certifications
+ Willing to travel to remote team locations for audits and MDA ISSM support.
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Experience creating, implementing, and managing DoD Manual 8140.03, Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program.
+ Experience with Missile Defense Agency cybersecurity programs
+ Experience with THAAD peculiar software
