The purpose of this position is to perform the role of a Policy Lead who coordinates and leads development of information security policies for publication to the enterprise. The role may also lead policy-related projects, such as those related to operational excellence initiatives, process improvements or remediation of audit or regulatory issues.
Coordinate and lead development of enterprise information security policies, working with subject matter experts and support partners, including Global Information Security, Global Technology teams and Global Compliance & Operational Risk.
Required Qualifications. Generally requires 5 years of experience.
Additional expectations of role:
• Part of a team within Global Information Security that manages the process to maintain the Information Security - Enterprise Policy, ten supporting Standards and a portfolio of product/platform specific security policies.
• Lead working sessions with SMEs to document information security policy requirements that are applicable to the enterprise and across various platforms, products and technologies. Lead impact assessment and socialization with stakeholders. Prepare governance materials.
• Engage with GIS and Technology partners to ensure alignment of policies to laws, rules, regulations, industry frameworks, processes/controls and emerging threats.
• Lead various projects such as those related to policy process improvements, operational excellence initiatives, resolution of audit/regulatory issues, etc.
Required Skills:
• Previous experience in Information Technology and/or Information Security. Prior Governance, Compliance, and/or Audit experience a plus.
• Highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to facilitate conversations which involve technical and sometimes complex information security topics and drive SMEs to a consensus.
• Microsoft Office proficient (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – Advanced Word skills preferred
• Strong critical thinking/analytical skills/problem solving/conceptual thinking
• Strong analysis and fact-based decision-making
• Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize requests and workload accordingly (fast paced work environment with multiple deliverables with short term due dates)
• Ability to work independently on initiatives with little oversight and to work with associates at all levels of the organization
• Quick learner, self-starter who is motivated to learn
