You Are:

The Information Security Engineer monitors, evaluates, and maintains the security and integrity of enterprise authentication platforms. Identifies potential threats and responds to reported security violations by analyzing causes and recommending corrective actions. 

 

The opportunity:

·       Implement and maintain Identity Platform (IdP) solutions including but not limited to Okta and Auth0.

·       Configurate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise authentication platforms.

·       Serves as a team member on multiple large and complex projects and/or technology initiatives and applies innovative solutions to the administration of IdP platforms.

·       Design, implement, and maintain authentication and authorization policies.

·       Assist with developing and establishing strategic and long-range goals and direction for the Information Security Authentication area of IT Operations.

·       Manage the installation of authentication and authorization hardware and software across the network. 

·       Identify and evaluate new strategic software and hardware solutions for future potential and provides recommendation to department management.

·       Ensure user community understands and adheres to necessary procedures to maintain security.

·       Serve as on-call engineer to troubleshoot and resolve operational incidents.

·       Use ServiceNow to manage support requests and incident tickets daily.

 

This position description identifies the responsibilities and tasks typically associated with the performance of the position. Other relevant essential functions may be required.

 

What you need:

·       Required: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

·       Preferred: Master’s degree or equivalent experience

·       6+ years Information Security or related experience

·       Advanced knowledge of Identity Provider (IdP) platforms, including Okta

·       Working knowledge of IdP platforms, including Auth0

·       Working knowledge of Privileged Account Management (PAM) platforms, including CyberArk

·       Advanced knowledge of authentication and authorization best practices and industry standards

·       Advanced oral and written communication skills demonstrating ability to share and impart knowledge, communicate with senior leadership, and effectively collaborate with other IT staff and customers

·       Ability to quickly adapt to new methods, work under tight deadlines, and handle stressful conditions

·       Advanced investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills

·       Advanced ability to set goals and handle multiple tasks, clients, and projects simultaneously

·       Ability to appropriately balance priorities, deadlines, and deliverables

·       Ability to work well within a team environment and participate in department/team projects

·       Ability to balance detail with departmental goals/objectives

·       Advanced ability to translate business needs and problems into viable/accepted solutions

·       Advanced skills in customer relationship management and change management

·       Advanced negotiating and persuasion skills

·       Ability to liaise with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

·       General business knowledge

·       Technical Requirements: Identity Provider (IdP) including: Okta (advanced knowledge) and Auth0; Single-Sign On (SSO), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), OpenID Connect (OIDC), AuthN, FIDO2; Privileged Account Management (PAM); CyberArk; YubiKey; ServiceNow; Workspace One; Log analysis.

 

Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.

Role Location: Ontario

Compensation Range: $104,000-$130,000

 

Benefits

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty. They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Full-time temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year). They and their dependents residing in Canada are eligible for Supplemental Healthcare coverage, as well as Company-paid Employee Only basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment coverage.

Part-time regular and temporary employees receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year).

All Canadian employees who work in a province, territory or locality with more generous paid sick leave benefits than specified here will receive the benefit of those sick leave laws.
