Information Governance Lead

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of privacy, regulation, and clinical research. You will work across global teams to ensure our data processing practices meet the highest standards by applying smart, scalable information governance controls that align with legal, contractual, and regulatory obligations. **Main responsibilities include:** + Use guidance from subject matter expert to craft guidance for clinical operations teams on privacy, regulatory, and contractual data handling requirements. + Identify and resolve issues related to personal/confidential data processing. + Translate subject matter expert guidance into scalable tools and trainings + Support audits, inspections, and customer engagements. + Maintain key documentation (e.g. data inventories, DPIAs, data flow diagrams). + Mentor junior colleagues and contribute to a culture of learning and compliance. **Requirements:** + Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required; a graduate or professional degree is preferred. + Demonstrated experience in information governance, privacy, contract review, security, project management, or strategic roles + 3-5 years of experience in privacy, legal, or regulatory aspects of data handling — ideally in a clinical research or pharma setting. + Experience in managing projects across various teams + Strong analytical and writing skills; ability to spot risks and translate them into action. + A collaborative mindset and comfort working in a non-decision-making advisory role. + Certifications like CIPP or CIPM are a plus. + Based in Spain or a similar time zone with good overlap with U.S. teams.
