The Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services Information Delivery team combines technical and business knowledge to support our internal and external clients. The partner will work closely with clients and internal stakeholders to gather requirements and will be responsible for the analysis, planning, design, creation and maintenance of client reports using Snowflake, SQL, DAX, SSRS, PowerBI and other reporting/business intelligence tools. The ideal candidate will be an attentive problem solver that can think creatively to solve business needs.

Roles and Responsibilities: 

Create and continuously deploy custom reports based on client specificationsWork with clients, business owners and SME’s to help capture and formalize client requirements for data needsDeliver daily support for consistently meeting stringent deadlines Provide support for ongoing development, testing and releasesRapidly iterate, prototype, and implement data visualizations using advanced design and development skillsCreate design artifacts, workflow diagrams, low-fidelity mockups, static and functional prototypes that supplement mockupsInteract with technology and operations to formulate and implement solutions to enhance existing services, create new client deliverables, or improve processes.Create design artifacts, workflow diagrams, low-fidelity mockups, static and functional prototypes that supplement mockupsAct as the subject matter expert on our various reporting solutions, answer questions and resolve issues when requestedMaintain up-to-date processes and procedure documents that govern and guide in the reporting/file delivery processExplore new technologies and learn new skills to continuously improve the way we operate

Qualifications:

Strong focus on high quality client service and attention to details in reportingExcellent written/verbal communication skillsKnowledge of, and practical experience with, specific tools or technologies used to perform job include (but are not limited to): SSRS, SQL, Power Query/DAX, MS Office 365, SnowflakeAbility to effectively multi-task and meet on-going time sensitive deadlines Experience with Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, PowerBI)Python and/or other practical experiences with coding languages a plusExperience creating ad-hoc or recurring reporting in any reporting tool or suite for client consumption preferred3-5 years professional experience (financial services preferred)Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting or related experience preferred

Salary Range:

$74,200 - 126,200 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
