Manager of industrial supplier conformity

We are looking for a dedicated Manager of Industrial Supplier Conformity to join our team within our Under Water Systems (UWS) business unit within Thales.  

In this role, you will play a key part in enhancing the quality and on-time delivery of procurements from your assigned supplier panel. You will act as the main point of contact for suppliers regarding confirmed non-conformities, ensuring issues are addressed and resolved promptly and effectively—from initial detection through to incident closure.

Key tasks/Responsibilities:   

Communicate clearly and suggest alternative solutions when issues arise, working with supplier and procurement on improvement plans and ensuring containment and corrective actions implemented

Work with Inspection team to ensure that purchased items meet quality standards.

Align with the Master Planner and APRU Manager to ensure Production plan and key inputs are met

Manage the return and tracking of defective parts and work with suppliers to resolve quality issues.

Support approval of initial supplier product samples to ensure they meet requirements.

Work with Logistics provider to monitor and improve the effectiveness of quality checks at incoming goods.

Develop processes to allow quality checks to be done directly at supplier locations where required

Streamline and coordinate quality checks between suppliers and our company to make sure they are consistent and efficient.

About You 

We are looking for a motivated and proactive individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, who can effectively prioritize tasks and maintain a clear perspective in their work.

The ideal candidate will be able to anticipate challenges, generate additional value, and confidently engage with stakeholders across different areas. Integrity and adherence to ethical standards are essential.

On the technical side, you should have a solid understanding of quality processes, the ability to challenge and collaborate with suppliers, and experience working with commercial contracts and general terms and conditions.

Proficiency in office applications such as Excel, as well as ERP purchasing tools, is important.
