It involves regular interaction with dealers and customers to minimize the commercial impact of complaints, ensuring customers receive fair value and fostering additional customer touchpoints and future sales. The focus is on complaint resolution speed and problem-solving across all workflows. + The incumbent serves as a strategic link between dealers, customers, and other Caterpillar personnel, responsible for identifying, analyzing, and resolving business needs and challenges within the assigned area. The role requires complex analytical work and addresses more strategic issues. Key challenges include meeting performance expectations, recommending alternative courses of action, making timely decisions, and continuously developing communication skills. Direct collaboration with other units, customers, and potentially suppliers demands strong negotiation, consensus-building, and commitment-gaining abilities. + Core responsibilities include developing and implementing local marketing strategies. The role supports dealers in creating and executing customer solutions, including marketing plans, sales coverage, merchandising programs, product value propositions, and pricing strategies. The primary goal is to drive product and service sales by increasing engagement in business opportunities, leading to a larger installed base and future downstream revenue and profitability + A solid understanding of the business model and active participation in business processes is required to guide the review and approval of variation programs and commercial actions. The role also designs and supports dealer efforts in forecasting, strategic planning for sales/rental/used equipment, and sales techniques, while assisting in new product launches. Proficient in value-based selling principles and practices, with a focus on delivering differentiated, customer-centric solutions.
