Job Summary:

The Industrial Sandblaster is responsible for preparing metal and other surfaces for painting or coating by using abrasive blasting techniques. This role ensures that all surfaces are cleaned to specifications to meet quality and safety standards. The position involves operating sandblasting equipment, following safety protocols, and maintaining cleanliness of the work area.

Key Responsibilities:Operate sandblasting equipment to clean, strip, or smooth surfaces such as metal or concrete.Read and interpret job specifications, work orders, or blueprints.Mask or cover areas not to be blasted using tape, shields, or templates.Inspect surfaces before and after blasting to ensure proper preparation.Set up equipment and maintain sandblasting tools and machinery.Handle abrasive materials safely and efficiently.Wear appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) at all times.Maintain a clean and safe work environment.Communicate with supervisors regarding work progress and issues.Follow all OSHA and company safety procedures and regulations.


Work Experience
Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent preferred.4+ year of industrial sandblasting experience (preferred).Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.Familiarity with industrial safety practices.Basic mechanical skills and attention to detail.Ability to work in hot, noisy, and dusty environments.Must pass drug screening and background check (if required).
