Molecular Products, Inc. is a fast-growing chemical manufacturing and distribution company located in Louisville, Colorado.  We are seeking a Industrial Sales Account Manager to generate revenue for chemical air purification technologies used by defense market customers.  Molecular Products has an aggressive growth strategy to double sales and profit over the next 3-year period.

 

Molecular Products is recruiting a highly proactive, motivated salesperson with a desire to compete and win.  This individual should be a self-starter with experience and aptitude to drive organic account growth and new sales of chemical technologies from lead to contract close applying skills of funnel management, relationship development, consultative technical selling, deal negotiation and deal close.

 

Objective for Position:

The primary focus of this role is growing industrial sales, support of successful contract bidding and skilled account management of industrial customers with the objective of establishing and growing accounts for industrial and safety related products.

Responsibilities

The Industrial Sales Account Manager (ISAM) will work with the support of Louisville and international team members to achieve targeted growth in sales and product range to existing and some new customers through direct sales, and through distributed sales channels.  The ISAM will be responsible for participating in the development of account management and channel development strategies to secure organic growth and routes to market to support setting a path to sustainable, profitable business with new accounts, major territory customers and prospects. 

Reports to: Sales ManagerTerritory: Americas but supporting other territories as neededProducts: Oxygen, Activated Carbon, Soda LimeKey Markets: Industrial and SafetyTravel: Up to 25% travel is possible for conferences, exhibitions, customer meetings, and company training.

Sales revenue generation and growth to targets Organic growth of existing accountsSuccessful management of their sales funnel from prospecting-to leads-to closeMargins consistent with company policiesRespected commercial representative for the company 

Key Criteria for Success:

Understanding of Industrial Market/Ability to evaluate markets and accounts at strategic and tactical scales, recognize feasible courses of action and develop and then execute action pAbility to develop influential commercial relationships at all levels of decision-making with government programs and technical personnel, prospects, and customers.Ability to identify and understand customer needs and address risk.Ability to negotiate and persuade – sell value not price. Ability to identify and relate valid market information. Sales funnel pace management – urgency and ability to overcome obstacles. Personal drive to deliver excellence. Professional and effective communication across broad internal and external audiences with the ability to listen and empathize with people. Collaborative and energized by being part of a global team rather than a lone wolf.

Key Objectives:

Assume assigned Global and Key Accounts, take initiative and drive growthSales growth for new and existing product linesWork with Management and Business Development roles to support development and execution of future strategy.

 

Qualifications

REQUIRED:

Minimum 2-years of Industrial Sales Account Management experience and US DOD contract bidding with track record of successful growth Bachelor’s degree or 6-years or more US DOD active-duty military experienceEffective written and verbal communicationMath competencyExcel competencyAbility to travelBusiness acumen 

DESIRED:

Some higher math, chemistry and/or physics Spanish and Portuguese language written and conversational proficiency

 

Compensation:

Base Salary of $70,000-$80,000; On-Target variable of 15%; 2% commission on sales above target.
