Your Opportunity
This part-time role is about making an impact on people’s lives and the future of clean energy. You will leverage your skills and experience to be part of an innovative team and make a difference for our customers. As an Industrial Safety Professional in Lynchburg, VA (remote work will also be considered), you will be part of the proven team in the Quality & Performance Business Line in the Installed Base Business Unit. The Industrial Safety Professional will be responsible for the implementation of occupational health and safety programs and processes. In addition, this position will support administrative responsibilities for the corporate industrial safety program and provide periodic on-site industrial safety support for IB's deployed workforce. Your work will include:
Collaborate with management and serve as the primary contact for injury and incident notification, investigation, and case management. Maintain a written log of safety inspection activities, incident reports, investigations, case management, and correspondence.Through consultation with appropriate staff members, develop procedures and practices to eliminate human performance error in order to drive a reduction of adverse safety events.
Ensure compliance with applicable Framatome safety standards, OSHA requirements, and generally accepted safe working practices.
Perform facility walkdowns to ensure compliance.
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for safety rules, regulations, and best practices.
Plan, implement, and provide oversight of preventative care, safety, and compliance training for employees and managers.
Implementation and oversight of industrial safety improvement and corrective action plans.

Your total rewards package
The range of base salary for the position is between $30.80 - $40.40 per hour, and may also include annual incentives, performance bonuses and benefits. Please note that the base salary range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies and work location.
