Our Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. Supported by ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.

  

The Industrial Methods and Flow Engineer develops and enhances strategies and solutions for integrating and testing products and systems in close collaboration with the Product Architect and the Industrialisation Work Package Manager.

 

This role ensures that the manufacturing processes fully consider all industrial constraints until the production launch and the continued support for the manufacturing of propellants, explosives, and munitions for both defence and commercial purposes

 

 

Working at our Benalla site on Yorta Yorta land, your role purpose is –

 

Ensure that production processes, equipment and tools are defined, implemented and optimised

Define the testing and burn-in strategy for equipment and subassemblies

Ensure that industrial issues are addressed in product production

Develop test and control plans and procedures for production equipment

Minimizing risk and ensuring compliance in environmental safety and HSE

Championing and implementing sustainability and emissions reduction initiatives as needed

 

On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours: 

Relevant tertiary qualification, supported by experience of industrialisation processes

Extensive knowledge of production processes in a manufacturing environment, including product-specific manufacturing processes

Demonstrated ability to establish or maintain an industrialized product manufacturing process and associated technical and manufacturing data packs

Basic knowledge of stock management and process flow management methodologies

Proven capability in conducting root cause analysis of product defects and implementing corrective actions

Proficiency in analytical and problem-solving techniques

Must be eligible for an Australian defence clearance
