RESPONSIBILITIES
· Installs, repairs, and maintains mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic machinery
· Performs preventative maintenance on mechanical machinery and electrical systems
· Troubleshoots and repairs electrical controls including PLCs, 3 phase and single phase circuits, relays, switches, power supplies, drives, gauges, and test equipment
· Assists with installation and modification of mechanical and electrical systems
· Identifies equipment and process deficiencies to maximize production efficiency
· Monitors spare parts inventories and makes recommendations to assure availability
· Completes assigned work orders in a timely manner; communicates daily work performed and machine conditions via written, verbal or computer documentation
· Maintains safe and clean work environment
· Observes all Company procedures, policies, and guidelines
· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required; education in electrical technology preferred5+ years’ experience related to repair of industrial electrical and mechanical systems requiredExtensive electrical knowledge ranging from 110 to 480 volts of power (3 phase)Strong background using precision tools (micrometers, multi meters, indicators, voltage testers)Experience with electrical components, sensors, AC/DC drives and motors, and servo drives and motorsAbility to interpret mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic schematics/blueprintsStrong ability to troubleshoot and repair programmable logic controls (PLCs); PLC programming knowledge a plusAbility to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAbility to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 pounds repetitivelyAble to stand, walk, reach, stoop, and/or kneel frequentlyAvailability to work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, and/or holidays as neededAbility and willingness to wear personal protective equipment (PPE)Good verbal and writing skillsAbility to work collaboratively with others
