The Industrial HVAC & Refrigeration Technician performs the duties of product testing and qualification of all the products our Company manufactures to prove that the product performs as designed and to our customers’ specifications.

This is a 1st shift position located at our facility in Batavia, OH.

You will…

Test refrigeration, a/c, and chiller systems to meet customer specificationsVerify that the electrical wiring is correct and matches the details on the electrical schematicsRead and follow procedures in installation, operation, and maintenance manualsReview the Internal Shop Order and Test Plan Procedures and related forms, and perform testing following the specified requirementsConnect and verify certified calibration instruments of all data recording equipment needed to provide necessary testing dataSet up test fixturing, including piping, brazing, power and control wiring, and instrumentation

We’re looking for …

A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in commercial/industrial HVAC/RKnowledge of electrical and piping schematicsExtensive knowledge of HVAC/R and Electrical TroubleshootingExperience with low and high voltage 3-phase voltage from 208 V to 600 V with motors and electric heatersKnowledge and experience working with fans, pumps, and compressorsThe ability to set up and use instrumentation to measure voltage, current, power, temperature, pressure, and flowCurrent Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Section 608 certification for handling refrigerantsBasic principles of heat capacity and heat transferKnowledge of MS OfficeHigh attention to detail and quality orientedA team player who will work well with our cross-functional team
