Job Description

Are you a skilled Industrial HVAC and Facilities Maintenance with a knack for troubleshooting and a passion for keeping things running smoothly? We're looking for a talented individual to join our team in Catawba, North Carolina!

In this role, you'll be responsible for the crucial maintenance and repair of our electro-mechanical systems, ensuring our production lines operate efficiently and safely. You'll work with a variety of equipment, from PLCs and motor drives to HVAC systems and air compressors, utilizing your expertise to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

What you'll be doing:

Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems, including furnaces, boilers, air conditioners, heat pumps, chillers, and refrigeration units.Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning coils, checking refrigerant levels, lubricating moving parts, and replacing filters.Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults in HVAC systems using testing equipment.Possess extensive knowledge of production systems including but not limited to compound system, air compressors, pit water system, HVAC and chillers. 'Must have a strong fundamental understanding of 3 Phase electrical systems, machine/motion control systems, electro-mechanical systems, VFD and Servo systems.Execute precise brazing and soldering on copper and other metal tubing for refrigerant lines, water lines, and other system components, ensuring airtight and leak-free connections.Utilize mechanical equipment including lathes, mills, cutting and welding tools.Ensure safety procedures, such as Lock-Out/Tag-Out are always followed.Assist in developing, coordinating and managing ongoing in-house training programs. Support the Parts department by assisting with identifying and maintaining parts used on the equipment and inventory of repair parts and manufacturing supplies.Execute project assignments in a team-based environment with minimal supervision.Demonstrate sound troubleshooting skills.Maintain PM and records for all plant equipment. Must be able to read electrical drawings and schematics.Other general facilities and project duties as assigned.

Work Experience

What we are looking for:

2+ years of experience working with AC/DC/VFD drives.HVAC/Refrigeration certification required. (EPA 608 Universal Refrigerant)A valid Driver’s License.Experience working with 480v systems.Expertise in brazing and soldering techniques, with a strong understanding of proper heat application, filler metals, and joint preparation for various materials.
Bonus Points If You Have:Experience with Allen Bradley ControlLogix, Legacy PLC Products (SLC and PLC5), and Siemens S7 PLC.Familiarity with Allen Bradley AC/DC drive products, including Powerflex and Kinetix.An Associate Degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Systems, Air Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration, or related fields.
