As the Industrial Engineer you will analyze the different production processes in order to identify areas for improvement both in the process itself and in the working conditions, determining the flow and handling of materials in a safe and efficient manner within the plant and warehouses.
Your main responsibilities:
Identify efficiency problems in production processes
Identify unsuitable working conditions
Identify lifting problems for parts in process
Identify problems in the movement of parts in process between the different workstations
Identify lifting problems in raw materials
Identify problems in the movement of raw materials
Time taking and movements in production processes
Coordinate changes in processes with the manufacturing engineering area
Document changes updating databases
Define workstations with suitable conditions
Elaborate required changes to layout for machinery movements considering all peripheral equipment, platforms, hoisting equipment, etc. platforms, lifting equipment
Analyzes material flow in the different work areas and throughout the plant
Prepares templates for new machinery and equipment to be installed in the plant.
Analyze and propose the distribution of work areas in projects of transfer and/or expansion of production capacity
Define and document containers, pallets or other forms for raw material supply depending on the type of material
Determine containers, carts or pallets for handling of parts in process
Define additional protections to avoid mistreatment in the handling of finished product
Define additional safeguards to prevent mistreatment in the handling of finished product
Define Methods, equipment and attachments for safe lifting of in-process parts
Define Methods, equipment and attachments for safe lifting of raw materials
Analyze, proposes and documents packaging methods for finished product and/or in-process material to maintain product quality
Participates as an auditor in the plant 5s audit program
Coordinates 5s audits with the production supervisors group
Coordinates kaizen events with the Lean Champion
Participates in the Latin American Operational Excellence Committee's audit program

For This Role, You Will Need:
Industrial Engineering or a related field Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Intermediate English
3 to 6 months experience at Fisher
Lean Manufacturing, Time and Motion, Industrial Safety, Advanced Statistics
