Boeing Global Services is currently seeking an Entry Level Industrial Engineer to become part of the C-17 Production Engineering team in San Antonio, TX.

This position will also support the C-17 UDLM Center of Excellence as this group works to develop new teams and processes. 

Position Responsibilities:

Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements of moderate complexity.

Maintains and develops plant and equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and workflows.

Supports the evaluation of new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations.

Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel.

Completes workflow design and analysis.

Develops moderately complex models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders.

Assists with research, design, development, improvement, and implementation of processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for large scale systems integration and asset utilization.

Develops and implements plans and programs for facility/factory modifications and revisions to operating methods.

Provides product assembly instructions and standardizes assembly practices.

Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met.

Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices.

Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support of moderate complexity.

Reconciles compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines.

Willing to work overtime, weekends, and holidays, if required.

May be requested to support additional programs as needed.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options (San Antonio, TX).

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

1+ years of experience with Industrial Engineering or Methods Process Analyst.

1+ years of experience with extracting and compiling data from multiple sources.

1+ years of experience with implementing continuous process improvement, lean processes, and employee involvement and engagement strategies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

Experience with organizational and team building skills performed in a cross-functional environment.

Experience with modeled and analyzed business processes, information models, and system architectures.

Have knowledge in data analysis algorithms (e.g. data mining, statistics, machine learning, natural language processing, text mining, visual analytics).
