Position Summary

 

Leads the front-end conceptual design process including analysis of customer data and operations, developing, designing, engineering, and integration of multiple technologies.  Will be frequently tasked to analyze large data files via SQL Server, build project specific databases, and develop presentation materials and visuals to summarize design requirements.  Works with Solution Sales and Applications Engineers to develop design requirements for mid-scale automated projects.  Typically tasked to present analysis and solution to customers. 

 

Responsibilities Conceptually develop block level designs and material flows end-to-end material handling solutions that integrate multiple technologies such as sortation conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, robotics, voice and light picking systems, and supporting structures Performs data collection and analysis to define design criteria.  Experienced with SQL for organizing, shaping, and analyzing large data files.  Works with Applications Engineering, Sales, and Customers to define system requirements and specifications Identifies applicable new technologies Works with vendors to develop complex turnkey subsystems such as unit sorters and automated storage and retrieval systems Develops labor requirements for proposed solutions using tools and techniques such as time study, MOST, and MTM. Uses economics analysis tools to determine return on investment for selected concepts Works with proposal documents, selected solution reports, bid specifications, descriptions of operations, and other plan documents Travels up to 20%  Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or Analytics/Statistics or related technical field or equivalent experience Experience in material handling industry, minimum of 3 years Experience in analytics, statistics, or simulation experience, minimum of 2 yearsKnowledge of material handling, including controls and software and material handling equipment technology Knowledge of process improvement processes and mathematical modeling of systems Knowledge of the fundamentals of systems engineering, analysis, and design. Proficient with Microsoft Office, Visio, and SQL and knowledge of Microsoft Power BI. Knowledge of Engineered Time and Motion Systems (e.g., MOST and MTM) Ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and deadlines Ability to handle multiple project assignments and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced results-oriented environment  Options Apply for this job onlineApplyShareRefer this job to a friendRefer Sorry the Share function is not working properly at this moment.
