**Position Summary**
We are seeking an Industrial Engineer like you to join our team in our Aiken, SC ORR plant.
The Industrial Engineering position focuses on optimizing the interconnected components of a manufacturing system (e.g., plant location, personnel work flow/ergonomics, materials logistics, production process sequence, and equipment layouts, etc.); to establish methods, processes and tools to provide production, cost and productivity controls and manufacturing management best practices that leads to manufacturing optimization.
The position is expected to apply practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. You will lead projects for processes of diverse scope, while working independently with general supervision and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.
The selected professional will be expected to produce feasible solutions and proposals to provoke, facilitate and achieve improvements in productivity, including the optimum utilization of human capital resources in all manufacturing processes and areas of the incumbent’s responsibility. You will be expected to not only achieve the optimum usage of resources, but to collaborate with any other required teams in charge of sustaining and continue to further look for ways to improve it.
This role will play a key role in driving continuous improvement through Gemba time studies and data analytics, translating insights into Kaizen initiatives and the development of state-of-the-art and breakthrough technologies. These efforts will support the plant’s cost efficiency and productivity in the short, mid, and long term across assigned areas and departments.
**Responsibilities**
+ Leads projects or processes of diverse scope, while working independently with limited supervision in search of productivity (optimum utilization of resources) sustainability and improvement
+ Establishes methods for optimum maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
+ Stays vigilant, constantly tracks, reports, and acts to find any necessary opportunity to maintain an optimize the required level of hours usage and control of the areas under responsibility
+ Conducts cost/inventory/production control and human factors studies to develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods
+ Assists manufacturing plant/facilities engineers with facility planning and design
+ May assist in establishing safety and quality accident prevention measures and is expected to aid manage managing production operations training programs for plant personnel whenever needed
+ Supports relationships through effective communication and negotiation skills with internal and external stakeholders.
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Typically requires a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience
+ Experience in database management tools is a plus, such as advanced MS software, Power BI, tableau, and experience in any programing software language.
