Job Description:
• Works with the team to develop & improve facility and lineside equipment layouts.
• Identify and optimize component flow and display to the operators lineside.
• Develop and maintain time studies, spaghetti diagrams and work balance studies for Standardized Work within Avix. And develop and maintain accurate capacity studies on each assembly line.
• Determine current and future state standard RTO headcount for each assembly line and material handling operation and calculations for labor efficiency.
• Develop current and future state warehouse layouts and space analyses based on build volumes and inbound delivery frequency.
• Maintain an accurate PFEP within the facility to facilitate optimal material display and handling standards and improvement plans.
• Work with cross functional teams to develop, track and maintain containerization standards within the facility.
• Support “Core Teams” and their initiatives to drive continuous improvement as required.
• Work daily within a cross functional team (Engineering, Quality, Materials, Operations, Program Management) to achieve plant goals and accomplish day to day tasks.
• Follows change management procedure for process changes.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Strong technical ability and attention to detail.
• Experience with kitting, sequencing and repack operations is a plus.
• Strong AutoCAD skills with an emphasis on assembly cell layout best practices.
• Background in warehouse planning/design and material handling best practices.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills with the ability to perform multiple tasks required to simultaneously and deal with stressful situations.
• Must be a self-starter and able to work with limited supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with people across multiple organizational levels.
• Ability to work overtime when needed to complete required tasks or provide support.
