Industrial Engineer

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Engineering position responsible for developing and generating assembly sheets,
maintaining updated plant layouts, and implementing projects that help maximize assembly area resources.


PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Carry out assembly instructions, including their release.
● Develop the FMEA sequence.
● Design and maintain the plant layout.
● Determine the workforce for the assembly area (Manpower).
● Define the process and routes.
● Release BOMs and 2D drawings.
● Design and customize workstations.
● Carry out actions to prevent and correct safety events.
● Develop continuous improvement exercises to maximize assembly area resources.
● Define process constraints.
● Training and coaching the production team on new processes.
● Execution of the engineering change process (ECN).
● Maintenance and development of the assembly matrix.
● Any other activities assigned by the supervisor.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EDUCATION:
● Degree in Industrial Engineering.
● 2 to 4 years of experience.
● 80% bilingual (English and Spanish) oral and written.
● Continuous Improvement Methodologies.
● AutoCAD.
● Workplace study techniques (Time Pro plus – AVIX plus).
● Leadership in the implementation of plant layouts.
● Knowledge of SAP.
● Assertive communication skills.
● Process simulation. (Plus)
● General knowledge of ergonomics and the Mexican Official Standard (NOM) (Plus)
