Te kōwhiringa | The Opportunity

Due to our business growth and success, we have an exciting opportunity for an Electrician to join our team based in beautiful Tauranga. If you have experience in domestic or commercial settings and are looking to expand your skills in industrial environments, we are here to support you. You will gain exposure to control systems, variable speed drives (VSDs), and instrumentation. Our experienced team will assist you in getting up to speed.

ABOUT THE ROLE

You will report to the Electrical Leading Hand and handle assigned electrical tasks. As part of a team that includes Electricians, Apprentice Electricians, and other staff, you will perform various electrical repairs and maintenance on the 3 Waters assets, based on contract requirements. This work includes projects, planned tasks, and reactive maintenance.

You’ll be responsible for:

Carrying out associated tasks as required on Industrial Electrical, PLC and SCADA assets as determined by your EICA Team Lead and clients.  Carrying out maintenance and repairs, and new & existing Automation and Electrical installations to be completed promptly and efficiently. Growing the Automation capability and capacity Other general duties as directed.

You will be required to travel as needed and will be provided with a tool of trade.

Nga pūkenga matua | Important Skills

Qualified & Registered Electrician, EWRB practising licence. Automation Experience and knowledge of Industrial PLCs, SCADA and Instrumentation is an advantage Driver's Licence – Class 1 minimum Computer Literate (ability to complete time and job sheets, and technical literacy to operate static and mobile telemetry devices) Experience in confined space entry and working at heights is highly desirable.
