Responsibilities:
Identify compliance risks and requirements, optimize current regional import and export process, system supporting (SAP and GTS)
Developing and implementing customs compliance procedures and policies within the company
Overseeing the accurate and timely submission of necessary documentation for import/export activities
Classifying products and determining tariff codes
Conducting internal audits to ensure compliance with customs regulations
Staying abreast of changes in customs regulations and advising the company on necessary adjustments
Working closely with customs authorities and maintaining good relationships
Training staff on customs procedures and ensuring they are competent in their roles
Resolving any customs-related issues or discrepancies that may arise
Assessing potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them
Reviewing contracts and agreements to ensure they meet customs requirements
Desired Candidate Skills/Experience:
Five or more years' experience and knowledge of import-export regulatory requirements;
Knowledge and understanding Indonesia Customs practices and procedures;
SAP system, compliance and process management skills a plus;
Must be: able to work in a fast paced environment with complex business scenarios; detail oriented and have strong problem solving skills; able to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization;
Proactive attitude, good communication skills, full knowledge on supply chain activities
Chemical background and HS code classification experience are preferred
Educational Requirements:
Major in global trade/supply chain preferred
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Excellent English skills in both speaking and writing
