Indirect Tax Manager – ESG
Job Description

A unique and increasingly relevant role for a supply chain professional to support Kraft Heinz in meeting its compliance obligations and sustainability targets. Reporting into the Indirect Tax Function, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of sustainability taxes, across European countries. This role requires a self-starter with strong business partnership and analytical skills, with an ability to communicate complex information to stakeholders.

Key Stakeholder functions: Sustainability, R&D, Tax, Finance, Marketing, Manufacturing and Procurement

What's on the Menu?

Compliance:

· Ensuring compliance with sustainability tax requirements

· Promote business awareness and understanding of existing and developing laws and regulations across European countries, including Single Use Plastics, PPWR

· Coordinate with Key Stakeholder Functions to ensure accurate and timely reporting of data and meeting compliance obligations

· Manage and maintain relationships with external advisors, tax authorities, and industry associations to stay up-to-date on regulatory changes and best practices

· Identifying areas for process improvement and greater accuracy

· Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting

Business value:

· Close partnership with Key Stakeholder Functions to optimise the Kraft Heinz Portfolio in meeting its sustainability and financial targets

· Leveraging R&D and operational experience to contribute to value engineering opportunities and guidance

· Researching technical guidance to support business decisions (e.g. recycling processes)

· Providing financial implications to the business for new product development and design decisions, as well as identification of risks and opportunities

· Provide training and guidance to internal stakeholders on packaging tax regulations

· Minimum 5 years of experience in R&D, manufacturing, supply chain, procurement, preferably in a multinational FMCG company or a consulting firm

· Experience with managing Compliance reporting and obligations

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills

· Strong excel and presentational skills

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

· Fluency in English; Dutch or another European language is preferred

· Experience with data, such as packaging tools or ERP systems

Nice to Have:

· Experience in the food and beverage industry

· Knowledge of sustainability and environmental regulations

· Experience with data analytics and visualization tools

· Certification in sustainability or environmental management
