Job Description

Key Business Responsibilities:

Manage and mentor key suppliers within specific material fields, fostering strong and collaborative relationships.Lead contract negotiations with nominated suppliers, including those involved in global projects.Ensure the successful deployment and fulfillment of policy targets for assigned (sub) material fields.Collaborate proactively with plant colleagues, IBT Lead Buyers, and Corporate Lead Buyers to define and implement strategic plans.Prepare and execute sub-material field strategies for the designated material fields.

Delivery Responsibilities:

Review purchasing requisitions and issue purchase orders promptly.Plan and conduct RFPs to ensure timely contract renewals and increase contract coverage.Provide support for issues related to contracting and contract compliance.Develop and implement actions to meet or exceed key KPI deliverables as outlined in policy deployment targets.Prepare monthly status reports, including RFP progress, savings, and other key KPIs such as automation, supply base reduction, and payment terms.Drive continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and performance.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor’s degree (perferably in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business or related discipline)Minimum 3-4 years’ experience in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing or similar related services. Self-motivated to define and drive continuous improvement of processesExcellent communication skills, initiative and personal accountabilityOrganized and excellent communication and project management skills. PC literate (MS-Office, SAP).Awareness and application of basic principles, strategies & instruments of purchasing.Negotiation skills with demonstrated cost savings results.Excellent interpersonal communication skills both written and verbal.Ability to communicate and conduct business discussion fluently in English.Ability to support teams working out of North American Time Zones
