Indirect Planning for Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment, Sr. Specialist
Best Buy
The Senior Specialist for Indirect Planning for Fixtures, Furniture & Equipment (FF&E) is responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of furniture, fixtures, and equipment across Best Buy’s retail footprint. This role ensures that all FF&E elements are delivered and installed in alignment with Best Buy’s brand standards, technology integration goals, and customer experience expectations—across new builds, remodels, and refreshes.
This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.
What you’ll do
• Multi-Site Project Execution: Manage concurrent store projects, ensuring FF&E installation aligns with design intent, timelines, and Best Buy’s operational requirements.
• Fixture & Technology Integration: Coordinate the rollout of interactive displays, signage, and technology-driven fixtures in collaboration with Design, Architecture, merchandising teams and IT.
• Vendor & Logistics Management: Oversee vendor relationships, fixture fabrication, warehousing, and just-in-time delivery to meet aggressive rollout schedules.
• Budget & Value Engineering: Track FF&E budgets, identify cost-saving opportunities, and implement value engineering strategies without compromising quality or brand identity.
• Field Coordination & Quality Control: Conduct on-site visits, punch walks, and installation reviews to ensure flawless execution and resolve field issues swiftly.
• Cross-Functional Communication: Serve as the liaison between store planning, construction, procurement, and operations teams to ensure alignment and transparency.
• Brand & Visual Merchandising Alignment: Ensure FF&E supports Best Buy’s visual merchandising strategy and enhances the in-store customer journey.
Basic Qualifications:
• 3 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, inventory management or equivalent corporate office operational experience.
• 3 years of experience operating with budgets and resource availability.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong cross functional internal and external relationships, and negotiate terms based on approved contractual obligations and parameters
• 3 years Expertise in advanced Microsoft Office Suite including Excel utilization of pivot tables, lookups and data visualization and macros
• Strong analytical skills to work with large data sets
