About the team:

Strat Ops team is invested in building a compact, robust organization that includes service operations and technology solutions for IDC. We work to provide world class experience to more than 15k Walmart associates. Team is looking for a strong Staff Software Engineer   who will drive building next generation Strat Ops suite of products and platform by designing, coding, building and deploying highly scalable and robust cloud based solutions. The role is expected to make a difference to the products in terms of the design and contribute towards identifying technical risks and find alternate solutions to various problems. In addition to that, the role also demands to lead, motivate, mentor and provide ample guidance to the other team members with respect to technical challenges. 

What You’ll Do :

Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the POD team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Architecture and Design: Lead the design and architecture of StartOps portals and software systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and maintainability. Apply Platform first approach to design.

Development: Hands-on development of high-quality software solutions using the latest technologies and best practices.

Code Reviews: Conduct thorough code reviews to ensure code quality, security, and adherence to industry standards.

Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine project requirements, timelines, and deliverables.

Continuous Improvement: Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives within the team.

Problem Solving: Identify and resolve technical challenges, ensuring the successful delivery of projects.

What You’ll bring :

Experience: 12~15 years of experience in software development, with a strong focus on modern technologies and frameworks.

Technical Skills:

Front-End: Expertise in React, or Vue.js.

Back-End: Proficiency in Node.js, Python, Java.

Database: Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases such as AzureSQL, MongoDB and GraphDB like MilvusDB.

Cloud: Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

DevOps: Hands-on experience implementing CI/CD pipelines using Custom Docker, Kubernetes, and infrastructure as code.

Testing: Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, Cypress, or Selenium.

Leadership: Proven experience in leading and mentoring development teams.

Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
