Role Detail

Position Title: Income Tax Manager, Americas
Location: Denver-CO, USA
Company: Vodafone US Inc.

Role Purpose

•    Manage all aspects of the America’s Federal, State, and International Tax compliance and Tax planning processes
•    Prepare, maintain, and manage all quarterly tax functions including tax provisions and risk management, tax estimates, and related journal entries, supporting schedules, and account reconciliations
•    Manage all aspects of tax audits and inquiries, and notice resolution from federal and state tax agencies
•    Partner with the International Tax Teams, Business Teams, and other corporate functions to serve as the America’s in-house tax advisor for business transactions and new and expanding business product lines
•    Ability to research technical tax issues and articulate clearly interpretations, recommendations, and conclusions to non-technical professionals
•    Monitor legislative and case law changes that impact tax guidance and the impact to the Company

Key Accountabilities

•    Ownership of all America’s Income Taxes, including any telecommunications taxes, payments, accounting and reconciliations
•    Manage external advisors and tax shared service team members
•    Efficiently respond to all audit activity and state inquires
•    Effectively Partner and communicate with the business and other internal stakeholders
•    Work closely with America’s Indirect Tax Manager on issues impacting both Direct and Indirect Taxes
•    Advise global entities on US international tax matters including withholding taxes, W-8BENE, and Form 1120F requirements
•    Identify and implement process improvements
•    Understand and monitor Tax laws and regulations and their impacts to the company

•    Communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with external and internal cross-functional teams across different regions
•    Confidence to question structure and processes
•    Adaptable to change
•    Excellent accounting and analytical skills
•    Experience managing multiple priorities and deadlines
•    Exercises sound judgement in decision making situations
•    Ability to organize and prioritize, and work under deadline pressures

Key Qualifications

Essential
•    Bachelor’s degree, Accounting, Finance, or Taxation
•    10+ years of income tax experience, preferably with a large public accounting firm or multi-national corporate tax department
•    Knowledge of financial and tax systems including SAP, CorpTax, Alteryx, BNA
•    Knowledge of MS Office products

 

Desired
•    Telecommunications taxation experience a plus
•    CPA or MS in Taxation highly desired

Compensation Range

Base salary: $107,200 - $135,000 / yr

The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.
