MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES
Project Implementation and Planning
Support Inclusive Education Coordinator for the project implementation and support to field staff.Discuss activities plan with Inclusive Education CoordinatorEnsure field staff receive regular feedback and updates through meetings and communications to support smooth implementation of the instructional program.Ensure staff adheres to educational standards and criteria as outlined in MoE Standards.Oversee the performance of KG and Primary school teachers by ensuring that they are providing high-quality educational service, attending classes, and providing /coordinating for capacity building.Maintain Target achieving through the responsibility of Inclusive Education Coordinator and Project Manager and support is provided in the mobilization process and defining registration criteria.Ensure parents have clear and accurate information about their child’s progress through their teachers and coordinate opportunities for community leaders to provide advice and support to the early childhood programs and the formation of SMCs.Monitor progress of the implementation of activities at the centers and ensure that the field staff fill in all necessary reporting templates on monthly basis for the PM, submit children’s attendance and absence papers, and Follow up to ensure Project Assistant provides the MEAL department with need and supporting documents..Evaluation and selection of learning materials and equipment that fit the schools’ needs, and coordinate the purchasing of instructional materials and equipment following district procedures and guidelines.Monitoring, Evaluation and Documentation
Support Project team to collect all the requested data from field or government.Support Project team to carry out regular field visits to monitor the progress of project activities, according to approved proposal.Collaborate with Project Assistant, manage entry and support analysis of monthly collected data related to the project (such as academic performance and attendance).Collaborate with Project Assistant, Develop and manage database of the project related data and documentations.Partnership and Networking
Assist Project team, and conduct and keep records of external meetings and conferences if required.Assist Project team to accept visitors.Safeguarding and Child Protection
Ensure that the principles of safeguarding and ‘do no harm’ are embedded in all project planning and implementation.Assist in identifying, reporting and responding to existing and potential child protection threats affecting the children participating in the project activities.Comply fully and ensure field staff’ compliance with World Vision’s policies, including the Safeguarding policy and code of conduct, and donor Policies and Procedures.Other
Any other duties as assigned by Project team.Provide initiative in maintaining positive, constructive and supportive communication within the project team and other shareholders.Support Project Manager in translation when needed.Ensure attendance record and report to Project Manager and P&C in a timely manner.KNOWLEDGE/QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE ROLE
Required Professional Experience
At least two-year experience as Inclusive Education Officer, Education officer or Assistant teacher at Inclusive Education projectVery good knowledge of safe environments and safe places for childrenSubstantial experience as a preschool teacher, as manager of a kindergarten or equivalent and training, facilitation and coaching skillsExcellent English and Arabic communication skills (both oral and written)Proven commuter skills for effectively using email software and MS Office Word, Excel, Power PointRequired Education, training, license, registration, and certification
Bachelor degree in Special Education, Education, ECD, or related fieldsPreferred Knowledge and Qualifications
Good working knowledge and understanding of project cycle and implementation of education or/and child protection project. Experience in disability and Inclusion, and an inclusive education field is required.Experience working with at-risk, out of school, vulnerable children and families.Experience of, and commitment to, working through systems of community participation and accountability.Proven skills for proper documentation and detailed logistical management.Experience of implementing Japan funded projects and understanding of donor compliance is preferred.Other Competencies/Attributes
