 SUMMARY:  
At The School Planner Company, also known as Mimeo Schools, we partner with educational leaders across the US, UK, DE, and FR to create custom and semi-custom student planners that drive organization, engagement, and academic success. Our mission is to deliver exceptional value and solutions through innovative products, insight-led conversations, and transformative partnerships.As we expand our reach and product portfolio—including the growing SPC Xpress offering—we’re looking to strengthen the top of our sales funnel with a dedicated Inbound Development Representative.


 


Key Responsibilities
The IDR will be the first voice many schools hear from us. You’ll respond to inbound interest, qualify leads, and create compelling handoffs to our Account Executives and Customer Success Managers. More than just a filter, you’ll help teach prospects something new about how planners can solve challenges and support school goals.You’ll thrive in this role if you love structured conversations, aren’t afraid of the phone, and know how to balance empathy with insight.

First response time to inbound leads Number of meetings booked % conversion to qualified opportunity Revenue from IDR-sourced deals Quality of lead notes and handoff detail
 
Respond promptly to all inbound leads (email forms, demo requests, content downloads, referrals, etc.) within 1 business day Conduct discovery calls to understand school needs, timelines, and budget considerations Use Challenger-style messaging to teach prospects something new, challenge the status quo, and build urgency Route qualified leads to the appropriate AE or CSM with a clear and complete handoff Manage your pipeline in our CRM with up-to-date notes, call logs, and outcomes Collaborate closely with marketing to improve lead quality and follow-up strategy Track and report on KPIs like speed-to-lead, conversion to opportunity, and meetings booked




Skills Knowledge & Expertise 1+ year of experience in a sales, customer service, or lead qualification role (EdTech or education-adjacent preferred) Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to stay organized, multitask, and act with a sense of urgency.  A naturally curious and coachable mindset Comfort with CRMs like Salesforce or HubSpot, and scheduling tools like Calendly A positive attitude, strong follow-up habits, and a passion for helping schools succeed Bonus: Familiarity with the Challenger Sale
