As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.

Within Advisory, PwC has a large teamthat focus on transformation in Government through Digital inclusion. The open position is for a candidate who desires to work with government clients and bring about a change in society. A successful candidate will be expected to work pro-actively and effectively on multiple client engagements over the period of time and take ownership of the entire project delivery he/she entrusted with. 

Responsibilities: 

 

Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate the software development lifecycle. 

Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, scalability, and security. 

Collaborate with development teams to streamline processes and improve software delivery performance. 

Implement and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system health and performance. 

Automate repetitive tasks and processes to enhance operational efficiency. 

Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and application issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. 

Implement best practices for infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. 

Maintain and improve security practices, including vulnerability assessments and patch management. 

Work closely with cross-functional teams to align DevOps initiatives with business goals. 

Mentor and provide guidance to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. 

Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in DevOps and cloud computing 

 

Mandatory skill sets: 

 

Proven experience of 6+ years in DevOps, system administration, or related roles. 

Experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker and Kubernetes. 

Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or similar. 

 

 Preferred skill sets: 

 

Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation. 

Solid understanding of Linux/Unix system administration and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python). 

Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or Splunk. 

Experience with version control systems, preferably Git. 

Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 

 

Years of experience required: 

Proven experience of 6+ years in DevOps, system administration, or related roles. 

 

Education qualification: 

 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
