Job Description

We're looking for an in-house Translator dedicated to produce high-quality translations and use strong linguistics skills in an international setting. You might be the language-expert we're looking for.

Hybrid workstyle (Office: Tokyo or Osaka)

Translation of clinical trial/medical documentation as well as business and technical documents pertaining to the activities of company departmentsCustomization of translations to meet regulatory requirementsEditing, proofreading and review of translated documentsDeveloping translation templates of routine/standard documentationActing as an interdepartmental liaison in matters related to the editing and review of translated documentsHandling translating vendors, if requiredInterpreting at meetings/conferences, if required

Qualifications

 

University degree in Life Science or Linguistics (major in Translation is a plus)Professional training and/or certification in Translation is a plusHands-on experience in English ⇔ Japanese translation Medical & healthcare translating experience is a plusBusiness level in English and top-level communicative competence in JapaneseStrong written skills; excellent grammar and spellingProficiency in Microsoft Applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPointAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-taskAttention to detail, ability to provide accurate and complete translations
