An rare opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Negligence Solicitor (4+ PQE) to join a highly respected medico-legal team supporting a leading academic clinical oncologist and expert witness. The role has the added benefit of no chargeable hour targets and can be completed on a fully remote basis should the successful candidate desire.

What you'll do:
You’ll manage complex clinical negligence casework from start to finish—drafting expert reports, overseeing file prep, coordinating conferences, and ensuring seamless trial support. You’ll delegate tasks, guide junior staff, and play a key role in driving quality and efficiency across the team. Expect a mix of independent responsibility and close collaboration with legal professionals and medical experts.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the preparation and delivery of expert witness reports.

Manage expert meetings, conferences, and trial prep with meticulous attention to detail.

Monitor caseloads and case progress, liaising with solicitors and agencies.

Supervise junior team members, provide feedback, and step in for the Head of Legal Ops as needed.

Maintain accurate client records and documentation via CRM, SharePoint, Asana, and Xero.

Contribute ideas to improve systems, share knowledge, and support training initiatives.

What You Bring:

Qualified Solicitor with 4+ PQE in clinical negligence.

Strong drafting skills, especially for expert reports and court documents.

Confident communicator with excellent organisational and supervisory skills.

Tech-savvy – comfortable using legal and workflow systems.

A team player who values compassion as much as competence.
