Position Description The Reynolds and Reynolds Company is seeking an In-House Attorney to assist with a vast array of contracting needs.The specific job functions will include: reviewing, negotiating, and drafting customer, vendor, and other agreements; coordinating with internal teams to support efficient contract administration; advising on both standard contract language and language provided by third party partners; analyzing and synthesizing complex contractual agreements and briefing Senior In-House Counsel and General Counsel on findings and recommendations; understanding and translating complex legal concepts for all levels of business personnel; and other legal matters facing the company. This position requires travel up to 25% of the time and will be based out of our facility in Houston, Texas. Training Requirements Doctor of Jurisprudence from an accredited law school.~^~Currently licensed to practice law in the United States, preferably in the State of Texas.~^~Prefer 1+ years of contracting experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel in a corporate setting.~^~Exercise exceptional legal reasoning, analysis, and contract drafting abilities.~^~Possess strong negotiating skills, reasoned judgment, and the agility necessary to reach terms with adverse parties.~^~Must be adaptive and able to work productively both independently and as a member of a team.~^~Must be able to communicate effectively with executive and associate level employees both orally and in writing.~^~Must be coachable and willing to learn.
