The HPC Commissioning Programme is responsible for testing installed systems and plant to validate their functional and safety performance before they are handed over for commercial operation. As a member of the Commissioning Alliance, we work as part of the HPC Commissioning Programme to deliver commissioning activities and provide project management expertise. Recently, the first permanent electrical system was handed over to the HPC Commissioning Programme with the first stage of commissioning successfully executed. 


The role
As an IMS Process Engineer you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. IMS Process Engineer will be responsible for creating, updating, and championing a full end-to-end DMIC (Design, Manufacture, Install and Commission) Commissioning process, along with multiple supporting processes. These processes must be compatible with existing Commissioning Procedures as well as the wider regulatory framework at HPC.


Day-to-day, you’ll will be responsible for creating and managing policies, procedures, and documentation to optimise processes, improve efficiency and achieve compliance.

 

Creating an end-to-end process for contractor commissioning at HPC Supporting the implementation of the end-to-end process at HPC Review and improvement of existing processes as part of continuous improvement Ensuring the established processes remain compliant with regulatory standards Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders


This role is full time, 37 hours per week, and is based on site at Hinkley Point C, Bridgwater with an on-site requirement of x3 days on-site. 

 

Essential experience of the IMS Process Engineer

Skilled at creating process flows, using tools such as MS Visio  Experience with creation of processes and procedures, including clear documentation and instructions where applicable  Excellent problem solving and analytical skills  Experience of developing best practices and finding innovative solutions Proficient with the MS suite – especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint Interpersonal skills and ability to influence internal and external stakeholders Knowledge/qualifications in CDM or Health & Safety regulations is desirable Experience of risk assessment and project controls is desirable  Good understanding of Quality Control and Assurance is desirable 

 

Qualifications for the IMS Process Engineer

Qualifications such as a Degree, Apprenticeship, NVQ, HNC/HND (preferably in STEM fields or other relevant disciplines) – or relevant, demonstrable, experience

 

Security Clearance
