Job Description:

Marken, UPS Healthcare Precision Logistics (formerly Marken, MNX & Polar Speed), the clinical and advanced therapy subsidiary of UPS Healthcare, unites expertise across healthcare and complex secure logistics to drive the success of our clients through innovation. 

Job Purpose: To process and coordinate daily logistics import activities. Implement production, productivity, quality, and achieve the appropriate level of volume within time constraints.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Review import documents for accuracy and completenessEnsure regulatory requirements are met, and proper documentation, including transit documents and customs clearances, exists for shipments; Knowledge of 3461 and 7501 documentation necessaryHave a strong knowledge of US import entry process, rules, and complianceCommunicate with clients about import and Customs related issuesTroubleshoot import related Customs and other government agency delaysEnsure documentation is accurately processed, distributed, and released to carrier, forwarders, customers, and agents in a timely mannerPrepare all necessary data entry and confirmation of key milestones (departure, arrival, customs clearance, etc.)Maintain courteous, prompt, and efficient customer relationsDevelop and maintain successful relationships with local vendors (e.g. airline representatives, freight forwarders, custom brokers)Communicate with customer, supply chain and the management team to ensure necessary requirements are metCollaborate with various on cross department activities promoting process optimizationInterfaces and assists other departments with process/compliance questions that may arise regarding import shipmentsHourly pay of $25 per hour

Qualifications:

High School completion or equivalent.1+ years of direct US import entry process, rules, and compliance knowledge and expertiseProfessional experience in customer service operations, preferentially in the international air freight, logistics or distributionPreference for existing knowledge and experience of the pharmaceutical and clinical trial industryCommitment to quality and attention to detailStrong customer focusTeam player / self-dependent / motivated to succeedProficient in MS Office / Excel / WordUnquestionable character and integrity

Working Conditions:

Occasional evening and weekend work upon request.

Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $15.25/hr to $24.75/hr. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and education/training and a candidate’s work experience. Hired applicants are offered annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs, subject to applicable eligibility requirements. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
