Pertemps is recruiting on behalf of our client for an Imports Administrator to join their fast-paced and dynamic import team. Handling over 20,000 TEU containers per year, this is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to develop a career in international trade.

What You’ll Be Doing:Registering and performing import checks on new container ordersProcessing shipping documents and ensuring international payments are accuratePreparing customs entries and releasing import filesExpediting shipments, tracking documents, and coordinating container releasesProducing and distributing detailed department reportsInvestigating and resolving shipment issues such as pricing, loading, and discrepanciesHandling claims with both UK and international suppliersGeneral administration, data entry, and communication within the import departmentWhat We’re Looking For:
Strong Excel skills – you’ll be working with data, reports, and spreadsheets daily
Excellent attention to detail – accuracy is key in this fast-paced environment
Strong organisation and multitasking skills – ability to handle multiple priorities
A problem-solving mindset – someone who thrives under pressure
IT-confident, with experience using Microsoft 365 and online platforms
Experience in international logistics is an advantage, but full training will be provided
