**SUMMARY**
Senior team member responsible for supporting program implementations, standing up new operating locations, implementing new operational capability, coaching and training F-16 Avionics / Electrical – Environmental Technicians, and identifying opportunities to improve site operations. Responsible for depot-level modification, upgrade, & test of aircraft sub-systems, ensuring airworthiness. Duties include, but are not limited to, inspecting, testing, modifying, and repairing avionic as well as other electrical systems/sub-systems. Examples include radar, radio, navigation, and aircraft power systems/sub-systems. This position typically requires frequent extended travel to various CONUS and OCONUS operating locations.
**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Advises leadership on operational requirements and approaches for new programs
+ Implements maintenance operations at new locations
+ Develops maintenance infrastructure to incorporate new work scope into existing locations
+ Coaches and trains other F-16 Avionics / Electro-Environmental Technicians
+ Assists in developing work cards, work instructions, job aids, and operation sequencing
+ Modifies, upgrades, inspects, tests, adjusts, and repairs aircraft avionic and electrical systems, such as aircraft installed radar, radio, navigation, and power systems using hand tools and test equipment
+ Inspects components of avionic and electrical systems and equipment for defects, such as loose connections and frayed wire, and for accuracy of assembly and installation
+ Accurately document all required U.S. Government and program forms and documents, including electronic records
+ Must effectively interact with program and customer representatives as well as on-site business or military representatives

Qualifications:

+ Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required.
+ Must be able to travel to CONUS and OCONUS F-16 CFT Sites as needed.
**EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE**
+ Must meet one of the following requirements:
+ A Bachelor's degree plus 10 years of related experience in avionics or electro-environmental maintenance.
+ An Associate's degree plus 12 years of related experience in avionics or electro-environmental maintenance.
+ High School Diploma plus 15 years of related experience in avionics or electro-environmental maintenance.
+ F-16 experience is strongly preferred, but other fighter jet experience may be considered.
+ 5th generation aircraft experience is a plus.
+ Microsoft Office Suite skills are preferred.
**PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**
+ Must be able to lift and carry parts, tooling, and other awkward items sometimes weighing greater than 50 lbs, including walking up and down stairs, aircraft maintenance stands, and platforms
+ Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching, and bending throughout the workday
+ Must be able to see and hear or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately to assure that the requirements of this position can be fully met.
