A large organization is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for a medical office in New Haven County. This role involves conducting patient history intake and preparation, managing lab data, educating patients, and providing follow-up steps. The RN will perform advanced telephone triage functions, participate in research activities, and act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals. The position requires maintaining accurate records, monitoring supplies, performing quality assurance functions, and assisting with the orientation and training of new personnel and clinical staff.
Responsibilities
+ Conduct patient history intake and preparation.
+ Collect and manage lab data.
+ Educate patients and provide follow-up steps.
+ Perform advanced telephone triage functions.
+ Participate in research activities.
+ Act as a liaison between patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
+ Maintain accurate records and documentation.
+ Monitor and order supplies.
+ Perform quality assurance functions as directed.
+ Assist with the orientation and training of new personnel and clinical staff.
Essential Skills
+ Valid RN License.
+ Experience in patient care.
+ Experience with triage.
+ Proficiency in Epic software.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
+ Experience in a medical office setting.
+ Ophthalmology experience.
+ 1+ years of RN experience in a medical office.
Work Environment
The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week, with a flexible schedule between 8:00 AM and 5:30 PM. The clinic provides a patient-friendly environment with on-site services such as corneal topography, electrophysiologic testing, fluorescein angiography, fundus photography, lasers, optical coherence tomography (OCT), and visual fields. The team consists of esteemed physicians and world-renowned researchers, ensuring access to the latest treatments and advances.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $48.00/hr.
