We are seeking a dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The role involves answering phones, scheduling appointments, managing prior authorizations, and ensuring efficient patient check-in and check-out processes.
ResponsibilitiesAnswering incoming phone calls and addressing patient inquiries promptly.Scheduling appointments and managing the calendar effectively.Handling prior authorizations with attention to detail.Facilitating patient check-in and check-out processes with accuracy.Essential SkillsProficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically Meditech Expanse.Strong administrative support skills.Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare setting.Exceptional data entry skills.Excellent customer service abilities.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED required.Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program or school is preferred (AAMA, NHA, AMT). Must obtain certification within six months after permanent employment offer.Work Environment
This position's working hours are from Monday to Friday, either from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The role requires attire appropriate for a professional medical office environment.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.77 - $22.00/hr.
