**Job Description Summary:**
Primarily responsible for the first line of contact with patients entering the Infusion & Medical Center. This position is responsible for IMC Support Team processes for new patients.
**Job Description:**
**Responsibilities**
+ Greets and screens patients and visitors.
+ Answers and handles telephone communications.
+ Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information.
+ Collect payment from patients at scheduled visit and document charges on patient payment log. Verifies insurances or insurance changes.
+ Assists with scheduling/rescheduling in the company scheduling system as needed.
+ Communicates with case management team for all patient account changes.
+ Creates post therapeutic report packet and faxes to referral source.
+ Conducts visual office check to confirm center is clean and assists with cleaning rooms as needed.
+ May be required to contact emergency services if clinical team requests assistance.
+ Assist in obtaining patient surveys.
+ Receives and reviews all incoming new patient paperwork and scans into the patient record.
+ Scans patient insurance cards and photo ID.
+ Prints referral packet for the provider each day for all new patients.
+ Verify that all referral information is correct and loads the chart with correct fax numbers.
+ Updates the patient chart with any insurance or address changes.
+ Assists with requests for additional patient documentation or clinical notes as needed for insurance or clinical reviews.
+ Notifies referring physician practice of receipt of referral and scheduling.
+ Reviews patient liability and reviews financial responsibility at time of check-in.
+ Reviews that the patient has a drug Monograph prior to provider seeing the patient.
+ Collects delivery ticket signatures for all patients.
+ Assists with making sure all patients have home items prepared by pharmacy prior to the patient leaving.
+ Assist patient with comfort needs (refreshments, blankets etc.).
+ Assist with the answering of call lights.
+ Monitors patient via room cameras as needed.
+ Participates in the assessment of patient care services and identification of service problems which do not meet Intramed Plus’ service goals.
+ Documents any service problems through the appropriate methods established, such as
+ Incident Reports, etc.
+ Punctual with scheduled work periods and is in compliance with current company policies.
+ Compliant with all Intramed Plus Policies and Procedures including, personnel, operating in-services and the Company’s Corporate Compliance Plan.
+ Effectively works with other team members. Communicates with various departments as needed.
+ Performs other related duties as assigned

Due to state pay transparency laws, the full range for the position is below:
Salary to be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
Pay Range is $16.50-$25.53
