Imaging Systems Engineer, Technical Engineering
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 4 years of experience with working in an image sensor, camera technology, or Image Signal Processor (ISP) environment. + Experience in designing and testing camera hardware systems with image capture and analysis using Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) or Complementary Metal–Oxide–Semiconductor (CMOS) sensors. Preferred qualifications: + Master's degree or PhD in Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science. + Experience with software development in a programming language like MATLAB or Python. + Experience with innovation and problem solving for imaging solutions. + Knowledge of CMOS image sensor technology, ISP pipelines, Camera calibration, Computer Vision algorithms, Computational Photography or Optical simulation. + Excellent communication skills. In this role, you will contribute to designing and developing camera systems and applications for consumer hardware. You will work with hardware and software teams to develop camera technology, and bring Google's imaging innovation to the world. You will drive the research and development of new hardware-centric imaging technologies related to sensor selection and introduction of new sensor modalities.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$216,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
