ILS Team Manager

We currently have an opportunity for an ILS Manager. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.  

 

What You’ll Do 

This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including: 
 

Accountable for leading a team, managing and allocating resources, setting work are priorities, managing workflows and evaluating business outcomes 

Accountable for accurate completing of work within timeframes and quality requirements, share own expertise with other and guide and mentor less experience employees.  

Deliver of logistics management strategies and plans in support of CA33 IBMS desired outcomes, including but not limited to, Demand Planning, Life of Type Management, and Product Management Planning. 

Review, analyse and report upon logistics management performance via the Sustainment Performance Management System (SPMS). 

Analyse complex to very complex logistics management issues, applying expertise to identify and recommend courses of action. 

Evaluate logistics management activities, understand critical factors for success and engage in activities to achieve continuous improvement 

 

What You’ll Bring 

Strong experience within Defence, government, or professional services. 

Relevant qualifications or certifications (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, Agile, or equivalent). 

Experience in Lab resource management, safety protocols and compliance requirements 

Deep understanding of the a Defence Capability Life Cycle 

Subject Matter Expertise in the integration of C4I systems into Army Platforms 

Solid Knowledge of ILS artefact development 

Bachelors (or Masters) Commerce, Logistics or Engineering 

Experience in C4I systems integration environments 

Experience in Lab resource management, safety protocols and compliance requirements 

Background in logistics management within engineering defence environments with a strong understanding of systems integration and supply chain processes 

A minimum Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
