Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia’s future.
Downer Professional Services is comprised of two business units, our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice and Team Downer, a major service partner to Defence. Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for our clients in Defence and National Security.
We currently have an opportunity for an ILS Support Officer | Warfare Products for a Defence Maritime project based in Canberra.
What You’ll Do
This role offers a broad scope, with key responsibilities including:
Supporting logistics planning and sustainment activities, including stocktake coordination, warehousing oversight, and inventory control
Maintaining and updating ILS documentation, including SOPs, work instructions, and baseline logistics information to reflect current product configurations and support processes
Managing asset and configuration data, including updates to the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and other asset tracking systems
Supporting logistics planning and sustainment activities, including stocktake coordination, warehousing oversight, and inventory control
What You’ll Bring
Familiarity with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) principles and practices, including configuration management, maintenance planning, and supportability analysis.
Demonstrated experience in warehouse operations, including inventory handling, stock control, and logistics coordination.
Hands-on experience using MILIS (SAP) for inventory and asset management within defence
Proven capability in planning and executing Hand Over/Take Over (HOTO) stocktakes, ensuring accurate asset transition and accountability.
Experience in managing data migration activities, including cleansing, mapping, and validation during system transitions or upgrades.
Currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth.
In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may be an inherent requirement.
