We are looking for someone to Lead and develop our growing ILS Engineering team. As our client demand grows, this is an exciting opportunity to lead the growing function within the UK Defence business. We are looking for someone who can lead the engagements with our clients, develop winning proposals, hire / manage the growing team and technical lead ILS Engineering activities.
Key leadership responsibilities include:
Recruiting and managing in developing ILS teamBeing the lead technical point of contact for all ILS related aspectsYou will be responsible for managing a team, providing the following ILS services, supporting, guiding and mentoring them as needed:
Design for Supportability input into the design processDefinition of Systems or product support strategies, solutions and plansDefinition of Systems Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) and Supportability BOM (SBOM)System or product Reliability modelling, including Failure mode effects and criticality analysis (FMECA), Reliability Block Diagrams (RBD) and Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) definitions.Reliability, Availability and Maintainability analysisRange and scaling of sparesDefinition of maintenance schedules and procedures for preventative, predictive and corrective maintenanceDefinition of training strategiesProduction of Whole Life Cost ModelsDefinition of Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation solutionsDefinition of obsolescence strategiesManagement of product and component obsolescenceWork Experience
Significant experience in Leading ILS teams within the Defence sectorExperience contributing to bid responses, understanding customer requirements, and providing ILS plansExperience of leading and managing teamsExperience in defining strategic Support solutionsExperience in the service support of low volume, high value, products and systems in a highly regulated environmentKnowledge and experience of applying through-life support standards such as DEF STAN 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, Mil Std 217FStrong knowledge of MOD support frameworks and their application as a supplierDegree or HND/HNC qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, or relevant experience in the Defence Industry
