Primary Function
The Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing our IAM systems to ensure secure and efficient access to our resources. This role requires a deep understanding of IAM technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams.
As an Identity Access Management (IAM) Engineer, you will develop proper access and provisioning to all A.O. Smith employees implementing industry best practices. To ensure success in this position, you should possess extensive working knowledge of identity management systems, processes, tools, dependencies, and integrations. Our ideal candidate thrives in collaborative team environments, is comfortable interacting with staff who have varying degrees of technical knowledge, has strong problem-solving skills with a drive to understand how things work, and isn’t afraid to ask questions.
Responsibilities
+ Design and implement IAM solutions to meet security and compliance requirements.
+ Manage IAM systems, including user provisioning, authentication, authorization, and access reviews.
+ Integrate IAM solutions with existing systems and applications.
+ Conduct audits and assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
+ Provide technical guidance and best practices for integrations.
+ Stay updated with IAM technologies and industry best practices.
+ Lead workshops and document business requirements for IT Cyber Security and Compliance projects.
+ Align access and identity requirements with enterprise standards.
+ Ensure AD and HR data integration and alignment.
+ Define strategies to migrate applications to an identity system.
+ Analyze and document business processes and flows.
+ Develop future state business process flows.
+ Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
+ Identify and resolve IAM tool alerts.
+ Continuous improvement of the identity governance program to stay up-to-date against cyber threats.
Qualifications
+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in IAM or a related field.
+ Strong knowledge of IAM technologies, including SSO, MFA, LDAP, and OAuth.
+ Experience with IAM tools such as SailPoint or similar. SailPoint experience is preferred.
+ Experience with scripting languages.
+ Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
+ Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Relevant certifications are a plus.
+ Experience developing current and future state business process flows.
+ Strong customer service skills.
+ In-depth knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes, the ability to identify, capture, and translate business requirements.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation, facilitation, and coordination skills.
