As a Senior Manager on Uber’s IDEA Team (Inclusion, Diversity, Equity & Awareness), you will develop and execute strategic and holistic strategies and programs, tools, metrics, and resources globally. You will collaborate with leadership teams, employees, and external stakeholders to drive strategic initiatives tied to social mobility, inclusive leadership and product equity. You will play a pivotal role in improving the overall operational efficiency, facilitating communications, mobilizing teams and driving the execution of critical initiatives.
**What You’ll Do**
- Collaborate with the Leadership Team to develop and implement strategic plans that align with the company's goals and objectives.
- Monitor progress against our strategic plan, track key performance indicators, and drive necessary adjustments.
- Identify opportunities to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Streamline processes, optimize workflows, and lead cross-functional projects to achieve operational excellence.
- Lead and manage special projects assigned, collaborating with various teams to achieve project goals within defined timelines. Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
- Develop and execute strategies and programs that build alignment between Uber’s global DEI strategy and business and workforce needs.
- Provide data-driven insights, analysis, and recommendations to assist the Leadership Team in making informed decisions. Conduct research, prepare presentations, and contribute and participate in strategic discussions.
- Identify external trends and benchmarks that inform and complement internal workforce goals and employee engagement, bringing in new ideas to the initiatives that you will organize.
- Cultivate and strengthen relationships with external organizations, industry groups, and thought leaders to stay informed about industry-leading practices and related business trends. Represent Uber at DEI forums, building external organizational relationships that extend the impact of our DEI initiatives beyond Uber's boundaries.
**Basic Qualifications**
- Minimum 8 years leading diversity, inclusion and/or cultural initiatives strongly preferred, including successful implementation of programs with measurable results.
- Minimum 6 years of program and project management experience

- Obsessive about all things Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. You’re a DEI culture carrier for Uber. You’re introspective, possess emotional intelligence, are an engaged listener and strategic thinker with demonstrated flexibility to advance DEI strategy across each region of the world.
- Self-starter with a strong bias for action. You drive end-to-end results and are always thinking ahead
- Strong project management skillset including prioritization, critical thinking and detail orientation.
- Strong organizational skills, and great follow through on tasks.
- Strong time management skills with sense of urgency - proven ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to deliver clear, concise communications to executive stakeholders
- Knowledge of the full human capital function including expertise in integrating DEI into Learning & Development, Talent Management, Global Benefits, Recruitment, Employee Relations, and Retention Strategies.
- Knowledge and experience in technology businesses including familiarity with global DEI concepts
- Optimize data analysis to inform strategic planning and tell a story about the workforce in each market.
- Proven ability to influence and build relationships with clients, partners, and people from various backgrounds and cultures.
- Demonstrated ability to partner and drive engagement and accountability across an organization
- Team player with high tolerance for ambiguity and a rapidly changing environment, who realizes that individual success drives team success.

For New York, NY-based roles: The base salary range for this role is USD$186,000 per year - USD$207,000 per year.

Offices continue to be central to collaboration and Uber's cultural identity. Unless formally approved to work fully remotely, Uber expects employees to spend at least half of their work time in their assigned office. For certain roles, such as those based at green-light hubs, employees are expected to be in-office for 100% of their time.
