Finance Analyst with actuarial or pension background to support our global pension accounting and reporting processes.

The Buenos Aires Shared Services Center (BASSC), located in Puerto Madero, Buenos Aires, Argentina, operates globally to provide HR, IT, business processing, and finance services in support of Chevron’s international operations.
BASSC is currently inviting online applications for the position of Pension and Payroll Analyst. Selected candidates will become integral members of the Finance team.
**Position Summary:**
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytically strong Actuarial Finance Analyst to support our global pension accounting and reporting processes. This role is ideal for a candidate with an actuarial background and a solid understanding of financial reporting, audit compliance, and pension-related disclosures. The successful candidate will collaborate with internal finance teams, external actuaries, and corporate stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of pension-related financial data and documentation.
**Key Responsibilities** **are:**
+ Interpret and validate actuarial reports from global consolidating actuaries for year-end reporting, segment entries, and remeasurement amounts.
+ Develop and review pension expense memos and disclosure notes (10-K and 10-Q), ensuring alignment with accounting policy and regulatory requirements.
+ Support quarterly and annual reconciliations, including SOX control reviews.
+ Coordinate with different teams to collect and consolidate cashflow data, benefit payments, and asset values.
+ Draft and manage service orders and engagement documentation with external actuaries across multiple regions.
+ Provide audit support and maintain documentation for internal controls and compliance processes.
+ Perform special ad-hoc projects as requested
+ Support system and process improvements to help drive efficiencies.
**Required Qualifications:**
**Education & Experience:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
+ Experience in pension accounting, actuarial reporting, or financial compliance.
+ Experience working with global actuarial data and multi-jurisdictional pension plans is a plus.
**Technical Skills:**
+ Advanced English level. Candidates selected for an interview will be required to complete an English assessment test.
+ Strong understanding of pension accounting principles, including remeasurement, settlements, curtailments, and OCI deferred tax.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Word and Outlook.

+ Ability to manage multiple deadlines and collaborate across departments and time zones.

**Preferred Qualifications:**
+ Actuarial certification or progress toward actuarial exams.
+ Experience supporting external audits and SOX compliance.
+ Familiarity with benefit note drafting and financial statement tie-outs.
+ Advanced command of productivity tools (power BI, Power query, power app, SharePoint)
**Relocation Options:**
